Charlie Hong Kong is a wonderful fast and healthy option here in Santa Cruz. Most of their dishes are filled with delicious organic veggies, which I love. I enjoy their soups in the colder months, and the rice bowls year round. The teriyaki and green curry bowls are both wonderful. The green curry sauce is very flavorful and pairs well with lime, basil, and chopped jalapeño which I like to add on to my bowl. The meat and fish they offer is sustainably raised and it shows. The quality of the chicken is really great. I like that they are open late and that online ordering is available if you'd like to order ahead and pick up.

Passing through town after spending the day at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. We could smell the flavor of food in the air coming from this small restaurant on the corner. We had the best food ever, flavors were savory and the veggies were fresh! Must stop location of your in the area, highly recommend this spot for fresh and tasty food

Always fun to find a place that is veg-forward and also very tasty. This place has easy parking, a cute heated outdoor area that is dog-friendly, and was fast and inexpensive. We both ordered the Spicy Dan's. Very delicious. We got it to go because we didn't realize they allowed dogs on the patio. We stayed once we realized we could dine with our pup. The portion size was great - I had leftovers enough for two lunches after this. The food came out quickly and the staff was friendly and helpful. We also grabbed a couple cookies - delicious. Will try this place again soon!

I feel like I need to update my review from years ago because Charlie Hong Kong has now become one of my go-to spots here in Santa Cruz. Since going plant-based back in 2020, I've appreciated the amazing and affordable vegan options that Charlie provides. I've ordered from them multiple times as well for catering and our groups have enjoyed the food each and every time. My staples are their Spicy Dan's Peanut Delight and their Spicy Tofu Rice Bowl. When I'm feeling something more refreshing, I go for their Cold Sesame Noodle Salad, which is a hit during the summer. Their portions are quite generous especially when dining in and I'll sometimes save some of that spicy dan sauce for a stir-fry at home for a different meal. One thing I would note is that the price of adding organic tofu to a dish feels a bit steep, making a bowl or noodle dish lacking in protein that was $10 originally go up to around $15. Thanks CHK - please continue to be delicious and serve our plant-based community members as you have been this entire time.

598, 41/2023 This review is for a togo dinner on a weekday in August. + Ambiance is eclectic Santa Cruz...small covered patio with a few self service tables. Attached enclosed kitchen with order and pick up windows reminded me of a movie theater ticket office. Cheerful funky vibe. They seem to do a lot of togo and delivery orders. +++. Food is true Santa Cruz fusion. CHK sources local organic producers and offer healthy REAL food quickly. They have many interesting dishes on their menu which made it hard for me to decide. I tried their green curry noodles togo and even after 25 minutes, the noodles were still al dente :). Their green curry sauce, o' my Lord, it's SPECTACULAR! Unlike any other green curry evah... creamy coconut with fresh mint and fresh cilantro. SooO flavorful! Veggies and greens provided additional texture and a good balance to the bright creaminess. Surprisingly, this dish also had a little heat. Very well put together, nourishing and absolutely delicious! ++. Service at the order window was friendly and helpful. After only about 10 minutes, my green curry noodles were ready. ++. Price is reasonable and very good value! +. Parking is free in their small lot. Paid and free street parking. The green curry noodles were my FAVE dish from my recent CA visit. Definitely the best pasta I've had in a long while. It is perplexing that they have mixed reviews, but what I had was definitely worthy of revisits! MY RATINGS - - - Inhumane - - Disgusted - Don't bother =. Missed the Mark +.
